Our Siding Contractor Process
Our siding building process is simple and efficient. First, we schedule a Zoom appointment with an experienced project manager and gather some important information about your project. From that information, we come prepared to this meeting with everything you need to know about the process for your project and provide you with a preliminary estimate.
Once we’ve gotten a good idea of what you want, we’ll get started on the siding installation process. In most cases, this means that we’ll remove your existing siding, clean up any debris from the old installation and prepare your house for new siding. Then we’ll install your new siding system over top of everything else—and lastly, seal it all up for protection against weather damage and other outside elements!
What are siding made of?
Siding is a type of exterior wall covering. It’s made of a variety of materials, including wood, metal, vinyl, and fiber cement. The most common types are wood and vinyl. Both of these materials are available in a wide range of styles and colors.
Wood siding is available with or without a protective coating on it. If you choose to have your wood siding treated with paint or stain, it will be more resistant to weathering than unfinished wood is by itself. The downside to this is that you will need to repaint or re-stain your siding every few years if you want it to continue looking good.
What factors need to be considered when choosing siding material?
When choosing siding material, you should consider the type of material, how it’s installed and maintained, and how long it will last.
The first thing to think about is how you want your house to look. Do you want your home to be made of wood? If so, there are many different types of wood that can be used for siding—cedar, redwood, mahogany, pine—all with their own unique characteristics and benefits.
And while you’re thinking about appearance, keep in mind that siding can also influence the energy efficiency of your home! While some types of siding are better at insulating against heat than others (ie: vinyl or aluminum), they often come with a tradeoff in aesthetics or durability.
You should also consider what kind of maintenance each type of siding requires. For example, vinyl siding tends to be easy to clean and maintain; however, it may not last as long as some other options because it doesn’t require painting or staining.
What are the advantages and disadvantages of using siding?
Siding is the most popular exterior covering for homes, and it’s easy to see why: it’s affordable, durable, and available in a wide variety of styles. But if you’re considering installing siding on your home, there are some things to consider before you decide what type of siding is right for you.
Advantages of Siding
Siding adds value to your home. When you add siding, it makes your house look more like a house and less like a box (or whatever shape your house happens to be). Adding siding can also increase curb appeal and make your home more attractive to potential buyers or renters.
Siding is easy to maintain. If you want something that’s going to last forever with little
maintenance, then there are some issues with siding—but if all you need is something that looks good for a few years and doesn’t require much upkeep, then siding is an excellent choice! Most types of siding can last anywhere from 15 years up to 50 years or more with minimal care.
Disadvantages of Siding
Siding can be difficult to install yourself if you aren’t experienced at it—and even if you are experienced at installing siding, it can be time-consuming and frustrating. That’s where we come in!
